HomeResources › D80, D90 & Check Flow Dryer Errors
Homeowner Guide

What does a D80, D90 or Check Flow dryer error mean?

These warnings are designed to tell you the dryer is detecting restricted exhaust airflow or abnormal vent performance.

Start with the exhaust path

Lint accumulation is one possible cause, but it is not the only one. A crushed connection, blocked exterior termination, nesting material or another vent restriction can also reduce airflow.

What to do next

If the warning continues, the dryer vent should be inspected and the airflow problem identified rather than repeatedly running longer cycles.

Clean

Remove lint and buildup from the exhaust path.

Inspect

Check the termination, connections and visible vent route.

Verify

Confirm airflow after cleaning or correction.
